28TH TO 30TH APRIL 2021 – ABERDARE COUNTRY CLUB NYERI
Governing People Risk for Improved Performance
All organisations operate in an environment of economic uncertainty subject to a wide range of internal and external influences, they are exposed to varying degrees of uncertainty and risk and this can directly affect their ability to achieve objectives.
Therefore, it is essential that an organisation’s risk management plan includes a comprehensive analysis of its people risks. Once an employee is hired, you introduce new risk to your organization. An employee’s ability to think for himself introduces risks that are dynamic, unpredictable and in some cases quite damaging.
Misaligned, ineffective, and improper human capital management policies, practices, and processes create financial, operational, and reputational risks that can threaten an organization’s bottom line, adversely impact sustainability, and reduce the organization’s value for its stakeholders.
This workshop addresses the benefits, procedures, concepts and methodology of managing HR related risks. It reviews the issue of human capital risk management and its impact on the organization.
By the end of this training programs participants will be able to:
- Put the context of risk both internally and externally understanding the external environment, define risk appetites and setting risk goals
- Identify and analyse risks as the first phase of risk management. The types of risks an organization must manage and the tools it can use to identify these risks, analyse them to understand their significance and potential impact and prioritize
- Examine the tactical levels of risk management and the various approaches to managing both the upside and the downside of risk
- Evaluate and audit risk management policies and processes as well as report on their implementation and assessing the effectiveness of the organization’s governance structure
